Connecting Google to Oryon
One Google sign-in brings Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Ads into Oryon: sessions, users and page views beside impressions, clicks and spend. The connection is read-only, and you consent product by product on Google's own screen — Oryon never changes anything in your Google account.

Before you start
An Oryon workspace and the right role
Google is connected from inside an existing Oryon workspace. Only a workspace owner or admin can connect, configure or disconnect a source; a member who opens Connections is sent back to the dashboard.
A Google account with access to the data
You sign in with a Google account, and Oryon can only list the GA4 properties and Google Ads accounts that account can already open. A personal Gmail with no access to either will list nothing to choose from — sign in with the account you use for Analytics and Ads.
A GA4 property, if you want Analytics
Oryon reads Google Analytics 4 properties only. Universal Analytics properties are not offered in the picker.
Connect Google
Open Connections
In Oryon, choose Connections in the left sidebar. Google appears as a single card that covers Analytics and Ads together.
Choose Connect on Google
You are sent to Google's consent screen. It lists what Oryon asks for: read-only access to Analytics, access to Google Ads, and a Drive file permission. The Drive permission is not a data source — it exists only so you can export reports to Google Slides.
Tick every product you want
Google shows a checkbox per permission. Tick every product you want Oryon to read. A product left unticked comes back into Oryon marked Permission needed, and the only way to turn it on later is to reconnect and tick it.
Back in Oryon: choose what to track
Back on Connections, a banner reads "Google is connected." and the Google card shows the Finish setup chip, the line "No products configured yet" and a Configure button. Choose Configure. This opens the Google settings dialog, titled Google, whose subtitle reads "Choose which property, account, site and location Oryon reads." Each product has a row with a state chip — Pick a source until you choose — and the header counts "{ready} of {total} sources ready". Pick a GA4 property on the Analytics row and a Google Ads account on the Ads row; each choice saves the moment you make it. The two product pages walk through each picker.
Wait for the first sync
The first sync backfills up to 365 days of history so your charts and period comparisons work immediately. It runs in the background.

Search Console and Business Profile
Both appear in the Google settings dialog as Coming soon: "Not available yet — we're waiting on Google to approve API access for this product."
What is stored
Daily totals only — one number per metric per day. Oryon does not store records, and nothing identifying a person is retained.
Keeping data current
Automatic daily sync
Oryon re-reads your Google products once a day and refreshes a trailing window, so figures that arrive late on Google's side correct themselves without any action from you.
Refresh now
The Google source page has a Refresh button in its header. It runs the sync for the Google sources immediately and reports "Data refreshed." or "{done} of {total} sources refreshed." If a product still has no source picked, the page tells you "Choose what to track for these sources first."
Choosing a period
The period picker offers Months, Quarters, Years and a Custom range. A day with no data shows a dash, not a zero.
Disconnecting
Open Connections and choose Disconnect
Find the Google card and choose Disconnect. Analytics and Ads share one Google grant, so disconnecting removes both at once — there is no way to keep one and drop the other.
Remove Oryon on Google's side, if you wish
In your Google Account, open Security, then Third-party apps & services, find Oryon and choose Remove access. If you do this before disconnecting in Oryon, the card shows "Google is no longer accepting this connection — access was revoked or has expired. Reconnect to resume syncing."
Your history is kept
Disconnecting removes the connection and its credential. The daily totals already synced are kept, so the Google page keeps showing past periods and reconnecting later restores your history instead of starting over.
Troubleshooting
A product shows Permission needed
Its box was left unticked on Google's consent screen. The row reads "Not authorised yet: {products}. Reconnect and tick them on Google's consent screen to turn them on." Choose Reconnect on the Google card and tick the product this time.
A product shows Pick a source, and the card says Finish setup
Google is connected but that product has no property or account chosen yet, so nothing syncs for it. The card shows the Finish setup chip until you do; choose Configure on the card and pick a source on the product's row.
"We couldn't reach Google for this list just now."
The settings dialog could not fetch the list of properties or accounts from Google. Reload the page to try again.
Access was revoked
If access is removed from the Google side, the card reads "Google is no longer accepting this connection — access was revoked or has expired. Reconnect to resume syncing." Choose Reconnect and approve the consent screen again.
"That Google account is already connected to a different Oryon account."
One Google account can only be connected to one Oryon account at a time. Nothing was saved. Connect with a different Google account, or ask your administrator which Oryon account already uses this one.
