Oryon Data

Getting started with Oryon

From an empty account to a dashboard with real numbers on it: create your account, answer four questions about your company, start a free trial and connect your first tool. Everything Oryon reads is read-only, and a workspace owner or admin sets it up once.

What you need

An email address, or a Google account

You sign up with an email address and a password, or with a Google account. Either one works; the Google option only signs you in — it does not connect Google Analytics or Google Ads, which is a separate step.

A card for the free trial

The Individual and Team plans both start with a 14-day free trial, and the trial is opened through a Stripe checkout that asks for a card. Nothing is charged for 14 days, and you can cancel before then.

The login for the tool you want to connect first

Oryon reads your data from the tools you already use, such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, HubSpot, Zoho CRM, Stripe, Shopify or TikTok Ads. You approve the access on the tool's own site, so have that login to hand.

Create your account

Go to app.oryondata.com

Open https://app.oryondata.com. The page is titled "Get Started with Oryon Data" and offers two ways in: Sign up with email and Continue with Google. If you already have an account, choose Sign in instead.

Sign up with Google, or with an email and a password

Continue with Google signs you in with your Google account and takes you straight into the app. Sign up with email opens a form whose intro reads "Create your account, connect your first source, and see your data working within minutes.": an Email, a Password ("At least 8 characters."), a tick on "I have read and agree to the Terms of Use", then Create account.

Set up your workspace

Answer the four questions

A new account opens on the company-profile wizard, which counts "Question {current} of {total}" as you go. Every question is required — there is no skip — and Continue moves forward while Back returns to the previous one:

  1. "Which language should we speak?" — "Oryon writes its answers in this language. You can change it later in Settings."
  2. "What's your company called?" — "This names your workspace in the sidebar and on anything you export."
  3. "Where can we find you online?" — "We read your site to tailor your dashboards." A bare acme.com is accepted and stored as https://acme.com.
  4. "How big is your team?" — "This shapes the recommendations you'll see." Pick one of 1–10, 11–50, 51–200, 201–1,000 or 1,000+ people.

Depending on the deployment, two more cards may appear after these: "Here's what we read from your site", a draft profile to correct, and "Here's what we found on your site", which lists whether Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager were detected and what the site is built with.

Finish, or cancel

Finish on the last question creates the workspace. If you started one by mistake, Cancel asks "Cancel this workspace?" and, on Cancel workspace, deletes the half-created workspace; Keep setting it up closes the prompt.

Choose a plan

Pick Individual or Team

The app opens blurred behind a dialog titled "Start your 14-day free trial": "Pick a plan to start. Nothing is charged for 14 days, and you can cancel before then." Two plan cards are offered, Individual and Team; the Enterprise plan is quote-based and reached through the "Talk to us about Enterprise" link under the cards. Each card states its monthly credit allowance — "{credits} credits included a month" — 1,000 credits on Individual and 5,000 on Team.

Pick a billing cycle

Choose Monthly or Annual; the annual toggle shows "Save {percent}%". Each card reads "Free for 14 days", then the price for your cycle, marked "+ taxes".

Start the free trial

Choose Start free trial. You are sent to a Stripe checkout page that collects a card, then returned to Oryon.

Wait for the confirmation

Back in Oryon, a card reads "Setting up your workspace — We're confirming your subscription with Stripe. This takes a few seconds." If you left the checkout without paying, the dialog reads "Checkout was cancelled and you weren't charged. Pick a plan whenever you're ready."

Your card is taken when the trial starts, not when it ends

The Stripe checkout asks for a card before the 14 free days begin. Nothing is charged during the trial, and a cancellation before it ends costs nothing — but the card is on file from day one. Plan, cycle and cancellation are managed later from the Billing page.

Connect your first source

Open the connect prompt, or Connections

Once the subscription is confirmed, a workspace with nothing connected yet is sent from the dashboard to a connect prompt that shows the same catalogue of sources as the Connections page. You can skip it, and it comes back once per sign-in until a source is fully configured. At any other time, choose Connections in the left sidebar.

Choose a source and approve the access on its own site

Pick the tool you use most and choose Connect on its card. You are sent to the tool's own site to approve read-only access; Oryon never creates, changes or deletes anything in a connected tool — the one exception is exporting a report to Google Slides, which you ask for explicitly. Some sources then ask you to pick what to track — a GA4 property, an Ads account — before anything syncs. Each guide under Data sources walks through its tool, screen by screen.

Wait for the first sync

The first sync backfills up to 365 days of history so your charts and period comparisons work immediately. It runs in the background; after that, Oryon re-reads every source once a day, and each source page has a Refresh button for right now.

Only owners and admins can connect sources

Every workspace has three roles: Owner, Admin and Member. Only an owner or admin can connect, configure or disconnect a source; a member who opens Connections is sent back to the dashboard. One account on a tool can be connected to one Oryon account at a time — a second attempt reads "That {name} account is already connected to a different Oryon account. Nothing was saved."

Your first dashboard

The Dashboard in the left sidebar opens on three tiles: Visibility, Leads and Ad spend, each for the "Last 30 days" and compared "vs previous 30 days". A ? bubble beside each name explains what it counts; Visibility, for instance, adds up views across every connected source — page views on your site, views of your posts, and times your ads were shown. Until an analytics or ads source is connected, the three tiles are replaced by a single card — "Connect an analytics or ads source to see this." with a Connect a source button — rather than three tiles reading zero. On a source page, a day that has not been synced yet shows a dash, not a zero.

The Oryon Index

Oryon Index in the sidebar measures how easy your brand is to find and trust online, out of 100, across five things: "Do customers find you?", "Are you visible online?", "Are you present where people look?", "Is your website clear?" and "Is your content working?". On the first visit it reads "No index yet" and asks you to run a first scan. Scans are included on every plan from Individual up; there is no fixed price per scan — each one draws on your credits at its actual cost. What is the Oryon Index?

Reports

Reports in the sidebar turns your connected data into a document: "Pick a template to start your report, or start from scratch." — Monthly overview, Campaign analysis or a Blank report. Generating a report costs 500 credits; viewing it, sharing it and PDF are included from Individual, and PPTX and Google Slides export need Team. How is a report made, and what does it cost?

The Assistant

Oryon Assistant in the sidebar is "A data-grounded AI assistant for your marketing performance questions." It answers from your current metrics, and each answer costs 60 credits. It is part of the Team and Enterprise plans; on Individual the page explains which plan includes it. What can the Assistant answer, and who has it?
